Within investment advisory, our focus is on creating conservative internationally diversified portfolios that match the economic ability, goals, and risk tolerance of our clients. Portfolios typically include a mix of hard assets held in physical custody by the client and passive investment funds. We do not manufacture or sell our own in-house investment products. Since we do not manufacture or sell our own investment products, our portfolio managers are not under pressure to sell in-house funds or products. Instead we can independently analyze and create potential solutions for our clients' best economic interest and mental well-being using the best solutions in the investment products universe, irrespective of manufacturer. We do not advocate active trading, active investing or market timing. Intead we take a long-term asset allocation view toward the capital markets. We advocate and practice passive investing using index investment vehicles and etfs where possible. We do not take custody of any client assets or offer discretionary accounts. At all times the client has control of their money. In our opinion, the goal of portfolio management should never be only about making money. The main principle should be wealth preservation and matching the client's goals and risk tolerance with a portfolio of investments that the client can understand and live with. |
